Zaher Imran - 1-1/2 years later

I almost completely forgotten about this blog..I haven't been active blogging for quite some times and I felt like getting active again..So for a start, here's a picture of my son, now almost 1-1/2 years old :-)

Zaher Imran: Enjoying his Vitagen while I drove him around trying to get him to sleep so that I can also sleep LOL

This is a picture of me trying to get him to sleep haha..It's the only trick I know that works. I can't and nobody can make him sleep (afternoon nap especially) at home. So what I or normally his grandfather did was strap him to the passenger seat and take him for a stroll a few minutes with the A/C pointed directly at him. Normally if he hasn't been sleeping since he wakes up in the morning this will work flawlessly and within a few minutes he'll fall asleep LOL. For father's out there, you guys can give it a try and let me know the results or even better if you have any other methods that works for you..share it in the comments section below :-)

First Week - Zaher Imran

Pheeewww...it's been a while since my last post here..almost 2 months..The fact is I've time upon time "tried" to update this blog and the only time I have everyday is at work and a couple of weeks before this new blogger interface..I was having problem using it at work and at home..It just doesn't work properly and out of frustration I just left this post there and only today I found time to do it. This new interface seems to be working fine. OK..back to the main topic..my dearest "mucuk" Zaher Imran who's today is 59 days old...(Yeah2..I know I haven't been updating in a while)..I'm just going to post a couple of his first week pictures and some descriptions and maybe in the next post I'll talk more about him..I'm too lazy and tired today (Newly Dad syndrome is still in effect hehehe)..so enjoy the pics :-)

Thursday The DAY!

7/7/2011 has passed but still there's no sign from you yet..your mom said that you must be very happy staying inside her hehehe. Doctor gave us another 7 days and if there's still no sign then I need to take her to the hospital on the 14th (This Thursday!) to avoid any complications to you and your mom. Your mom just called and she was on her way to the clinic with Tok Nan to get some medical treatment for the rashes and itchiness that's now bothering her..As for me, I'm recovering from flu and cough and hopefully by that time I can hold you in my arm without having to worry that I might infect you with my flu..Everybody's ready to see you my dear son.. :-)

50 days to go!

50 days to go...Daddy and Mummy can't wait to see you..preparation is almost at 95% done...last weekend daddy and mummy went and bought you a cot, bather and also a couple of other things..We're now preparing mommy's emergency travel bag..This weekend we'll be bringing back your cot to your 'atuk' and 'nenek' (haven't figured out what Atuk and Nenek wants to be called..let's stick to 'atuk' and 'nenek' for now shall we :-D ) place and Atuk will give your cot a finishing touch by painting it white like your mom's favorite color. Last Monday's checkup was great and your mom's doing very well except that her gastric problem has come back which is normal for her stage now. Your in a good position and actively kicking and tickling mommy every now and then..mummy can't stand it at times as it makes her want to go to the toilet every time you did that LOL..

So..50 days to go..mommy and daddy will start preparing mentally as well..hopefully the whole process will go on smoothly and safely..InsyaAllah..Can't wait to see you my boy.. :-*

Gynea Visit 005 - Kick..kick..kick

Daddy's Back!! I'm sorry for the late post..Daddy was a little bit busy after the trip to Indonesia with mummy, Tok Nan, Tok Ma, and your two uncle. Hmmm...where do I start...aaa...ok..let's start with Monday 2 weeks ago when we went for an earlier checkup due to the upcoming trip later that week. We're both very happy to get to see you again, and it's all worth it when we saw you there moving around happilly and the best part is...I swear that I saw you "waving" at us that day, you're so cute! :-D Doctor confirms again that you're a BOY and that makes mummy happy for the reason that she'll now have a piece of mind on what to buy for you in Bandung hehe..

Jogjakarta->Bandung->Jakarta was a tiring but exciting experience because it's the first time we got to travel in a train to Bandung from Jogja and also shopping for your baby stuffs. We bought a lot of cute things for you and even at the time I am writing this..we're discussing on getting you a stroller for babies from UK, Auntie Puya will bring it back for you. Luckily we didn't "borong" the whole Bandung for you LOL. Mummy was very strong along the journey and I hope that you will too grow stronger and healthier.

The last couple of days was one of the happiest days in our parenting calendar as mummy started to feel you moving around in her and kicking her. It was Wednesday midnight (09/03/2011) when we both just about to sleep when you first kick. Now, every single time mummy said that you kicked..Daddy will quickly put Daddy's hand on mummy's belly in hope to catch your movements..but sadly I can't feel it yet..probably you're still too small and the movements could only be felt by mummy. It's alright, Daddy will wait for that day to come :-)

Gynea Visit 004 - It's a Boy!

I See You! :-)

It's a boy! One day you'll understands how daddy and mummy's feelings whenever we got to see you on that black and white screen ( and sometimes yellowish screen they called '4D'). I know it's a bit late for this post to come up as daddy was a bit busy last week. Last Monday mummy perform her latest and first checkup at the local community clinic (just in case that we decided to bring you into this world at our local government hospital) and it went fine. A few days later on Wednesday we went to the regular Gombak Medical Centre to check on you and see you and hoping that we can see whether your a boy or a girl hehe. This is important as Mummy's really excited for the upcoming trip to Yogjakarta-Bandung-Jakarta trip next month..Yeah! we're taking you for a holiday/shopping trip next month with Tok Ma, Tok Nan, and your two uncle! Mummy wants to buy you lots of beautiful clothes (and Daddy will pay for it of course) hence the reason to check for your gender. As soon as the screen turned on..there you are..moving around in mummy's tummy..you've grown up bigger and now daddy can see you clearly and I can't describe how I was feeling at that time..The doctor let us listen to your heartbeats and it was magnificent..and finally the doctor let us know the greatest news of all..you're a boy! That brings daddy back to the night before where I talked to you and 'pujuk' you to 'reveal' it to us tomorrow hehe and you did show it to us. Last visit to the gynea you hid it from us..mummy said "He's probably too shy to show it to us :-) "

You're getting heavier i guess..mummy starts having back pain and every night daddy would massage her back and also make her a warm milk to give you all the nutrients that you need. Good thing that she's not having the gastric and constant vomiting anymore, it's now I guess just the getting used to the extra weight hence the back pain. So, I guess daddy will be seeing you again next month hopefully and at the mean time, don't be naughty inside there, grow up healthy, and daddy and mummy loves you!

Gynea Visit 003 - My Child Is a Future F1 Driver

Dear 'Anakku',

Yesterday was one of those days where daddy and mummy's heartbeats will skyrocket to the roof. Why? It's because we get to see you and see how are you doing, we're so worried and anxious to know if you're OK, how much have you grown up, to see you in action. Guess what? It's either you want to be a F1 driver when you grow up or like what mummy said to daddy after the checkup "Daddy! I think you better start saving now for a CAR" LOL. Well I can assure you that at least you'll be getting (baby) bucket seat for now :-D . You we're in a position where you looked like you're driving a car and it was funny and touching at the same time. You we're moving around in your mummy's tummy but you didn't face us (shy eh?) :-P . You've grown twice bigger than we last saw you, now at 6.++ cm we almost can tell whether you're a boy or a girl. Be it you're a boy or a girl, we will flourish you will all our love and tenderness, we will gave you proper education, teach you on religion, and hopefully you'll turn into a fine person one day. So, Daddy will see you in a month's time, and at the same time, grow up fast and healthy and don't give you mummy a hard time OK? :-)

Love,

Daddy

The Cost of Hospitalizations Nowadays...Scary

RM 2,564...That's the cost of a 3 Days 2 Nights stay at PUSRAWI, 3 meals a day, multiple bottle of Sodium Chloride in your bloodstream every day, once a day visit by the doctor, 1 ultrasound procedure, one unsolved pain...scary huh! For those without a proper insurance protection, i beg you...please get one today! For my wife, luckily it's covered by her company's GA.

Daddy and Mummy 'Camping' at PUSRAWI

Today at 10 O'clock, mummy checkout from PUSRAWI after two nights stay. Alhamdullillah nothing bad to be worried of. The doctor is still figuring out what's the cause of the gastric pain, the ultrasound came up positive and there's no sign of any liver-stone or anything like that. For now the doctor supplied mummy with some medicines and follow up checkup is scheduled for next week to see if the pain still persists. Granny called and she said it's alright and Daddy shouldn't worry too much as long as nothing critical found,. She said it's parts and parcels of pregnancy and becoming a mommy. If the pain still persists, the doctor will perform endoscopic procedure to see what's wrong with her esophagus. We will try to avoid that as much as possible due to the reason of you being still so young (8 weeks) and for the procedure to be done, mommy must be given a dosage of sleeping pills which is not recommended for pregnancy below 12 weeks.

Mummy complains she looks bloated due to the constant IV drop given to her but she still looks pretty to daddy hehehe..and today finally Daddy get to sleep properly on a bed instead of the small couch in the hospital...Pregnancy is tough, but daddy will always be there for Mummy.

To my child: This is your story..

Hi to all the readers out there..especially to the newly dad out there like me :-) The reason I'm writing this blog is to share my joy and journey of becoming a parent from a dad point of view. Since the positive pregnancy test news came to me, I can't stop thinking and thought about writing about it..I'm not too sure about other similar blogs or websites but normally I would find blogs on expecting mothers more than the fathers. So I would share all my encounters, tips, products used, articles and a lot more which i found useful for us Dad's..and most importantly..I hope this blog will become a historical journey that will be remembered and read by my son/daughter when he/she grow up..and hopefully he/she will take note on the love and hardships of their parent and becomes a better person and parents one day..

To my child...this is your story..
